Cognia does not measure your sleep or run tests. It helps you log snoring, breathing pauses, morning headaches and daytime tiredness, together with what you ate and drank, so your doctor sees the whole picture.
When you log “Sleep apnea” you mark whether there were breathing pauses, snoring (soft or loud), gasping or choking in your sleep, headache on waking and daytime tiredness.
Among the causes you can mark are “Slept on my back”, “Drank alcohol” and “Smoking or vaping”, and with sleep apnea on the profile they are suggested first. They rest on MedlinePlus and the NHS. They are factors; they do not explain apnea on their own.
When a meal, supplement, medication or workout comes before a symptom, Cognia saves the match and moves it up a level if it repeats. For medication, supplements and exercise it looks at the previous 24 hours. They are leads, not proven causes.
You can log oxygen (SpO2) and your weight; Cognia flags a reading that falls out of range. It is not an overnight oximeter or a sleep study: they are single readings you take.
One weight per day is stored and the change is measured against the previous weigh-in; if the profile has a height, it calculates BMI. With Premium, weight history with charts.
The traffic light rates foods from your apnea and the profile's other conditions, with the reason and, where there is one, its source. The catalogue tells apart the preparations of the same food. It informs, it does not forbid.
If you take a medication or supplement, set up its schedule with a notification on your phone. With Premium, you also get scheduled meal, water, measurement or weight reminders.
With Premium, export a PDF of your symptoms, meals, supplements and medication for the period you choose, and browse analytics by period.
