Log your weight and symptoms and get an alert when something differs from your usual with your condition. Each food is weighed against it, with its reason.
Log your weight (one per day) and Cognia compares it with the previous one. With heart failure, gaining 2 kg or more in 3 days or less triggers an urgent check-up alert to tell your doctor or nurse today; if you are short of breath, the message says to seek urgent care.
If you have heart failure and log breathlessness and mark that it comes with little effort or that you sleep propped up, or that you are coughing up frothy pink phlegm, the alert goes up to at least an “urgent check-up”. The rule comes from the NHS heart failure page.
When you log leg swelling, Cognia asks whether you have suddenly gained weight. If so, with your condition the alert is an urgent check-up.
The traffic light weighs a food from your heart failure, with the reason and, where there is one, the source. Preparation counts: the catalogue tells apart the preparations of the same food. It informs; it never forbids.
Log blood pressure, heart rate and oxygen saturation; each one warns by its ranges with the source behind it. Low saturation triggers an alert for any profile.
Enter each medication with its schedule (every few hours, at a fixed time, certain days or only when needed) and the app alerts you. Log each dose.
Choose an emergency contact. If something reaches urgent level, they are alerted right away; if they chose it, urgent check-up alerts too. Cognia does not call emergency services: it shows your country’s number and the button opens the dialler.
