Log when your heart feels fast or irregular, what you were doing and how it goes, and get an alert when something needs attention. Each food is weighed against your condition.
Log palpitations, irregular pulse, fast heartbeat, slow heartbeat or fainting. For palpitations you say whether the beats feel racing, pounding or skipped.
If palpitations or a racing heart come with chest pain or breathlessness, the alert is MEDICAL EMERGENCY; for a racing heart, so is feeling faint. Fainting always raises an alert. The rules come from NHS and MedlinePlus pages, each with its source.
When you log a symptom you can ask the app to check in every few hours: “it passed”, “same” or “worse”. When it ends, the duration is saved.
Log your heart rate and oxygen saturation. Each value is compared with its ranges, with the reason and the source; a high or low pulse together with alarm symptoms raises the alert. You measure and enter the value.
If you log meals, supplements, medications or exercise and then a symptom, Cognia saves the coincidence even if it happens once, and raises its level if it repeats. It is a clue to discuss with your doctor, not a proven cause.
The traffic light weighs a food from your arrhythmia, with the reason and, where there is one, the source. Preparation counts: the catalogue tells apart the preparations of the same food. It informs; it never forbids.
Enter each medication with its schedule (every few hours, at a fixed time, certain days or only when needed) and the app alerts you. Log each dose. Cognia does not change or prescribe treatments.
Choose an emergency contact. If something reaches MEDICAL EMERGENCY, they are alerted right away; if they chose it, URGENT CHECK-UP alerts too. Cognia does not call emergency services: it shows your country’s number and the button opens the dialler.
