When you care for someone, details get lost from one day to the next. Cognia gathers your relative's memory lapses, confusion, meals and medication in one place, so you can reach the appointment with data instead of scattered recollections.
When you log “Memory loss” you say what is being forgotten (recent things, repeated questions, where things were left, getting lost in familiar places), how it started (suddenly or gradually) and whether there is confusion.
Confusion has its own alarm questions and, based on your answers, it shows an alert by level. The criteria come from NHS pages. Alzheimer's has no alarms of its own: these are the general ones per symptom.
Choose an emergency contact, who has to accept the invitation. An urgent alert always reaches them; the urgent check-up alert, if they chose to receive it. When there is an emergency, a button opens the dialer with your country's emergency number; Cognia does not call for you.
Create the schedule for each medication or supplement (every few hours, at fixed times, certain days or as needed) and the app notifies on the phone. Each dose is recorded. Cognia does not adjust doses.
The traffic light rates foods from Alzheimer's and the profile's other conditions, with the reason and, where there is one, its source. The catalogue tells apart the preparations of the same food. It informs, it does not forbid.
Describe a meal out loud or photograph the plate: the AI interprets it and you check it before saving. In text fields, the microphone is the phone's dictation. AI features have a limit depending on your plan.
Alerts always carry the profile's name, and each phone chooses which profiles to get alerts from. How many profiles and conditions you can have depends on your plan.
